March 25, 200223 yr Why does instant web published datbases looks different in IE and NS? Databases in IE5.5 looks almost like the filemaker layout. But in NS it looks awful.. I guess FM takes advantage of the IE activeX controls for XML. Has anyone noticed this? Any comment?
March 25, 200223 yr I don't use IWP so I can't say for sure. But I would guess that it has something to do with IWP being wysiwyg, which means no control for the developer.
March 26, 200223 yr I don't believe that Netscape supports CSS, and that is how IWP renders a FileMaker Pro layout. All FileMaker Pro items are designed to work with IE. HTH Old Advance Man
March 26, 200223 yr Author Netscape do support CSS... But it does not support ActiveX controls.. Filemaker IWP takes advantage of the XML activeX control available from IE. All the demonstration screenshots of Filemaker Unlimited in their website is IE. I find it very hypocratic of Filemaker not to be cross-platform in sense of browsers...
