I seen several references to the problem, on several different forums and bbs, but never a solution or even a decent workaround.

In Layout Mode, any attempt to move a field brings up the 'duplicate' dialogue box. OK, you can duplicate the field and remove the original but that's a lot of extra work. And, adding insult to injury, it seems you can only duplicate in one direction at a time ('move' the field right and down results in duplicating the field to the right. Then you have to duplicate it again -- down).

Has anyone found a key combination that results in actually MOVING the field?

It's a known bug of FM 4 and 5 Classic when running MacOSX

dang! I was hoping to find an answer here. However, I did notice the following: looking to take advantage of the bug I went to drag a field from the footer to the body and IT MOVED (and snapped into the place as though I'd shift-dragged it).
