Robbydobbs Posted March 12, 2003 Posted March 12, 2003 I want to put my program on the intranet. Can I have unlimited access to this and would it be more productive to use the intranet then it would to just use a server version?
Unable Posted March 13, 2003 Posted March 13, 2003 >I want to put my program on the intranet. What intranet. Are you making a general reference to a LAN? Are you asking about serving the db's as clients in a peer-to-peer solution as opposed to serving the db's through a browser solution (whether intra- or inter-net)? If you are asking about serving FMP db's through a browser then you will need to have Unlimited. If you are talking about an LAN peer-to-peer solution, then (depending on number of clients) you will need at a minimum, FMP on every machine on the LAN which requires access to the db files. Depending on what you are doing, you may also need FMP Server.
Anatoli Posted March 13, 2003 Posted March 13, 2003 RE: If you are asking about serving FMP db's through a browser then you will need to have Unlimited. Not if there is up to 10 users connected in 12 hour period.
