alcam Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 Is it possible to include a "Find" script for use in a Kiosk Mode solution in which the Status Area is not visible (i.e. there's no "Continue" button)?
Chuck Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 You can include you're own "Continue" button on the layout. Given that you mention having a continue button, you probably have a script step "Enter Find Mode [ Pause ]". If this is the case, simply put a button on the layout and tie it to the "Pause/Resume Script" step. This will act just like the "Continue" button in the status area. Chuck
danjacoby Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 Don't tie the button to the script; just program it to Resume.
jfmcel Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 You can have the button both start the Find script and also resume the script, by selecting the resume current script option in the button dialog. (This option will appear when you assign a script to a button.)

I have a script step "Enter Preview Mode [Pause]". Given that the Status Area is off and I can't put a button on a preview, what is the best way to continue the script here? cheers, Wendy
Peter Fenner Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 Hi Wendy I think your options are: 1. Create another database file which appears over the database showing your previewed data - This will house controls for the preview database - I have seen some good examples on this forum. 2. Copy the preview screen and paste into a container field in browse mode 3. Ensure the status area opens when entering Preview mode Pete
