Message Board in Filemaker

Featured Replies

[color:"green"]Is there an easy way to make a message board that I can put on a web site? Or one that can be purchased? It does not have to be fancy, just allow a user to post his/her thoughts and other people can read and add their own comments. I did some yahoo searches and didn't find anything useful. thanks in advance, Wayne

You could create a database with these fields: { subject, body, date, posted_by }

Use Custom Web Publishing (CWP) to create a very basic Application to "List" and "Add" comments. You can then refine it as much as you like after that.

Good Luck.

So...

I posted once a little demo in the sample section. Network based though, not web.

I just redownloaded it and I've seen it wasn't zipped properly though about 40 users downloaded it.

Here's a repost. It's really a funky time I had for this test, but it's now working in the real fashion, in a more friendly way, even if only 10 users are using it...

The sampler show only one part of its functions, which is standard messages. This may be useful.

Well, let me know if it was

Private Messages.zip

When I arrived "At The Entrance" just now, I noticed an advertiser at the top of that page, Productive Computing Inc., offering a Message Board solution. I have no knowledge about it. Ask them.

Good luck,
