Newbies xraven Posted August 12, 2003 Newbies Posted August 12, 2003 I have a generic report that can be printed for each found set. However I would like to display the criteria used for the find on the report. I know Filemaker stores this info because if you create a script with a Preform Find step, then print the script. The printout will display the find criteria. Does anyone know how to put this info into a global field? Sort of like Status (CurrentFindCriteria).
Lee Smith Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 You are in luck. Bob Weaver made a Sample file that shows a way to do this, and it is available in the Sample Files. Its called "Display Last Find Criteria" and Click Here to Go to it HTH Lee
Razumovsky Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 Cool idea. I dont think there is a status function for this, but you could probably script it to set field names and values for each field in find mode (right before the "Perform find" step) into a global text box. Just a thought. -Raz ed: Bob's idea looks much slicker!
