Johnny_one_eye Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 I've set up a fairly simple form as my 'homepage' for filemaker. It's simply a password box for a person to enter in their password and a submit button. The submit button performs a 'Find' for all the records matching the password field. However, when you try to enter in your password and just press the 'Enter' key (keyboard), you get an Error #4: Command is unknown. This is strange, because if you click the 'Submit' button, it works fine. The 'Enter key' also will submit other forms on my site. Right now we've got a Javascript set up to disable the Enter key, but many of our users want to be able to use it. Is there any sort of work around in this case, or am I doing something wrong? Here's a snip of our code: <FORM ACTION="FMPro" METHOD="post"> <P><INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="-DB" VALUE="main-online.fp5"> <INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="-Lay" VALUE="Personal"> <INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="-Format" VALUE="search_results.htm"> <INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="-error" VALUE="search_error.htm"> ................... <INPUT TYPE=Password NAME="Advisor" VALUE="" SIZE=10> <INPUT TYPE="submit" NAME="-Find" VALUE="Find My Students"> </form> I've also tried creating a link to this page to specify the correct database and layout as follows: FMPro?-DB=main-online.fp5&-Lay=Personal&-Format=login.htm&-FindAll This didn't help. Any thoughts? Thanks SO much if you can help! Jonathan
Garry Claridge Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 Just add this line to your Form: <input type="hidden" name="-find"> All the best. Garry
Johnny_one_eye Posted August 4, 2004 Author Posted August 4, 2004 WOW, do you get paid for this?! Thanks a lot. That worked like a charm. I guess that wasn't intuitively obvious (for me at least). But it worked! I really appreciate your help on my 2 problems. Let me know if I can ever help you with anything. Jonathan
