Saving A found "Search"

Featured Replies

I have set up a nice add and load found sets solution utiliting the copy records function - which works a treat!

However!

What I would like to add to this list of found sets is a list of found searches.

For example say from our database you do a search for all contacts with a phone number in the Canada that are male - what is the best way to save this as found set?::?

I suppose a solution would be to setup a database file which contains all the corresponding field names and copy the search string to them before searching and add in a field for the name? Is this going to slow the search down? Whats the easiest way to add it to my current found set listing?

Thanks

Simon,

This topic has been discussed in the past. Do a search for the word "save" as a subject in the Forums, and you should get plenty of reading material, including this recent tread.

HMMM on second thought they all seem to follow the same process that I have used for my found sets in that it copies a unique field and then matches records.....

Not useful for returning a search (when things are being added to a database) and found set increases/decreases etc....
