Perform find

Featured Replies

I am trying to perform a find in various fields and I would like to be able to select the options through a value list consisting of "Name" and "Month"

I would like to be able to select a "Name" then a "Month" then click (for example) a find button, and the relavent results returned. Is this possible?

Regards

Dave

Sure. Why not make the relevant fields value lists on the original layout? Of course, you could make a separate layout with just the fields you want.

OK I don't understand your first option :S

As for producing a seperate layout for each field... I thought of ding it that way but I just though that seemed a lil sloppy, and that there should be a cleaner way of doing it.

You'll want to do something like this but use global text fields formatted as pop-up menus for your Name and Month fields. Instead of going to another layout and using Insert Calculated Result, you can simply Enter Find Mode and Set Field [Name, globalName], Set Field [Month, globalMonth].
