Hello all. I am trying to get our staff members to consistently enter data into a particular field (tentatively titled a "NOTES" field). They have been less than compliant in doing so. What I would like to do is make this field mandatory - like in an HTML form. Is is possible to not let the user exit a record until completion of a field? Or at the very least can some sort of an alert button be activated instructing the user to complete that particular field? I am relatively new to Filemaker and would be very grateful for the necessary steps to make this happen. Thank you.

This questions come up from time to time.

I just did a search using +Required +entry +field and had 93 hits.

To perform the same search, click on [color:"blue"]Search (top right of your screen), enter just as I have +Required +entry +field (which are the words in your Subject with the plus sign added).

Searh "All Forums" Remove the 1 in Weeks so it is blank and hit the "Submit" Button
