January 7, 200521 yr This is exactly the same information as the e-book. Why would I want to purchase the videos?
January 7, 200521 yr Author Good Question : Many people learn different ways. Some Individuals can read a document, process the information, and use it immediately. Others do better by hearing and physically seeing the process done. They are auditory and tactile learners. The video series actually covers more than the book, and we have added even more code in the video series. The video series also comes with a transcript of the videos. Some of the material is the same, but there is also plenty of new material that is not covered in the book. I hope this helps :
January 13, 200521 yr just ordered them and cant wait to see them arrive here at the office. We begin the transition to PHP in a month, and this series will go a long way to streamlining that process. Does anyone know of plug-ins for GO-Live that might help with PHP content sites?
January 13, 200521 yr Is there a way to receive the new information that was not in the book. (I find I need a larger array of examples in order to get me going)
January 14, 200521 yr Author Currently there is no plug-in that works with GoLive. Chris Hansen of Iviking developed one, but unfortunately, GoLive requires so much extraneous code to be written that it made it almost impossible to debug. FXForge is going through another revision www.fxforge.net that will take care of writing just about all of the php code necessary. FMWebschool will also be releasing a plug-in that will allow you to develop and test your FX.php websites with client versions of FileMaker. This is due to be released the beginning of February. We think this will help a lot of individuals as FileMaker Seven Server Advanced is a bit out of reach for many individuals.
