I assume you're referring to relationships since portals are based on them.

When you create/edit a relationship, you can select multiple criteria. Select two fields to relate and an operator, click Add, then select two more and click Add.

If that's not clear enough, directions can be found on page 65 of the User's Guide, or by searching the Help file index for "Multi-criteria relationships." Those are two resources i typically try first.

Ok, So I have one more question:

What I have done prob is not the best way to do it, but I am just learning this so I thought I would try it... Can someone explain this example to me.

I have two tables: "Main" & "Welcome"

Table "Main" I have two fields called key1 and key2

Key1 is a calc which does this takes 4 charters from the left of the first name and 4 charters from the last name and combines them.

Key2 does just the reverse... Last name then first name

Table "Welcome" I have these two fields again. This time they are calculated value not a calc... the reason I had to do this is b/c these fields (Both) on this page are unique... It help me to make sure I do not double Input --- ( I know its not the best way but just bear with me)

So I made a relationship with these 4 fields.

I want to make a portal on my welcome page that will display to me if I enter something on the Main page before... The reason I have two fields is sometimes I flip the first name and the last names around... this is just a little info portal that tells me that I have entered it alreay on the main page.

The Problem is that I got the first half to work. The portal displays the firstlast names... works great... but I can not get my portal to display lastfirst entries... I have checked all the fields to make sure there are the same and they are...

Does anyone have an idea or am I doing something so wrong that no one will answer this question.

Joseph
