Maureen Sellier Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Can somebody please help me with a (presumely) easy script: 1) Open another (second) database OR IF ALREADY OPENED, bring to front 2) switch to a certain layout in the second database instead of the last viewed... Thanks Maureen
stanley Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Maureen: Create a script in the second database: Go To Layout [the layout you're after] Refresh Window [bring to front] Create a script in the first database with the single line: "Perform Script", and point it at your second database, telling it to run the script you've just written. -Stanley
Ted S Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Hello Maureen, Here's what you do: 1. Create a script in the target file that has only one step; Goto Layout. 2. Create a script in the starting file that has only one step; Perform Script [sub-scripts: External: "ScriptName"] If I understand your problem correctly, that should do it. Good luck,
Ted S Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Cool, we've got agreement! PS. Maureen, be ready to be spanked by Lee for making a double post.
Lee Smith Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Hi Maureen, and welcome to the Forum. Please [color:"red"]STOP posting your same question all over the Forum. I deleted your double and triple post earlier, and sent you a [color:"purple"]Private Message regarding that, only to discover that you posted your question as a response to one of Vaughan's Sample file submissions. I have [color:"red"]Deleted that one also. HTH Lee
-Queue- Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Way to crack the whip, Lee! I surely hope I never deserve a spanking.
DykstrL Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 One day Lee is going to run up against someone who LIKES to get spanked - then he won't know how to act! ;~)
