Enter find criteria in global fields in find mode

Featured Replies

Is it possible to enter find criteria in global fields in find mode?

No. Even if it were, it would be pointless. A global field has the same value for all the records. So anything entered into a global in Find mode, couldn't be used as a criterion for finding some records and omitting others.

You can use the global as the left side of a relationship. This can be used to show records in a portal that match the relationship using the global.

If this sounds like something that would help, do a [color:"blue"] Search of [color:"blue"] ALL FORUMS for the [color:"blue"] Keywords of [color:"red"] +Global +Field +Relationship +Left using [color:"red"] 0 in [color:"blue"] Weeks and you will get 200 hits, the maximum for a search. Here is one that came up that I had posted a sample file to. Just Click here to go.
