fran2 Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Hi there I am doing small contracting jobs for individuals at an University. Now new guidelines on their side require me to carry a professional liability insurance (errors and omissions insurance). Does anyone have some hints or expertise to share on finding appropriate insurance for a small business owner? Fran
Vaughan Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 It sounds like you're at the University I used to work for... you're not in Sydney Australia by any chance are you?
Lee Smith Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Hi Fran, I've had to provide this kind of coverage in the past when contracting with a Public Entity. You should be able to get a name and phone number from them, as they have probably had this requirement for a long time. It was [color:"red"] Not cheap, but I included it as part of my retainer fee. The insurance company I used, specialized in business coverage, and ended up underwriting it with LLoyds of London. HTH Lee
