Sorry if I got this question in the wrong spot.

I don't know how to include an attachment to my posts.

Each time I try, I get an error message that says I need to include a suffix such as .zip or .sit.

The file in question right now is a 120 KB filemaker 7 file.

How do I go about getting the fp.7 into a format that has an appropriate suffix?

In OS X Panther, you can encode a file in .zip format by control-clicking on the file, and selecing "Create Archive of...". Then select the resulting .zip file for attachment in a post.
