One Multi-level Tab GUI for all Layouts

Featured Replies

HI all,

It has been a while since I posted anything of merit - been busy catching up to FM7, and lots of fun stuff to learn. My first big thrill was taking advantage of script parameters and new repeating field functions in building a single multi-level tabbed interface and navigation script that does not need ANY modification from layout to layout, just paste it in or duplicate and rename a layout. The above example is rough, but I think the guts are very smooth. I did not include any data fields in the layouts or DB, but that can be done easily.

On implementation, I would probably break this into several files along the separation model idea, but the principle should still work. Any input is appreciated (anyone see any problems in a multi user environment?).

Apologies if this is old news to many - it got me very excited.

And of course, thanks to all the great posts for the inspiration and info!

Hi Raz, and welcome back.

Thanks for sharing. Your timing is great, as I'm just getting into Script parameters.

Thanks again,

Lee

Hi Raz,

Just wanted to jump in and say "well done", "good to see you back" and thanks for sharing as Lee said.

You know, it could be called some real "Raz-em-a-taz"!

Later Dood,

Harry
