Bapak Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Not sure where this one should go... I have a Runtime dbase (FM Developer 7) that runs perfectly ok... I wish to use installation software for it...Have tried 3 different Installer and all seem to install ok but the Runtime will not run. Any suggestions? Bapak
BrentHedden Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I've used InstallShield 5 & 6 with no problems. Although, this is a fairly expensive piece of software and may be overkill form something like this.
SteveB Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I use Setup Factory, but there are lots of other ones. I think your problem is that you are missing one or more key file(s). Steve
Bapak Posted August 11, 2005 Author Posted August 11, 2005 The Runtime install quite ok by itself, It is only when using a installer that it will not run following installation. Have checked and all files uploaded. And Brent,InstallShield is an overkill... the runtime is for a non-proft organisation. Bapak
Henry Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Maybe you can try on Install Creator by Clickteam, no problem for me. And it is a freeware, just each installer will contain an advertisement page for Clickteam when the installation is complete. Henry
Zero Tolerence Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Advanced Installer works great for me. And you can use standard features for free.

AlanP Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 I'm using this: Inno Setup. it's free and does a heck of a job. http://www.jrsoftware.org/
Anne DeBlois Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 I use Inno Setup too, and it works like a charm :)
