Hello,

I am having problems viewing portals through IWP. I can see the portal, but I can not see the data in the protal.

All files that are linked are shared and can be acccessed through IWP. I use FM Server to share, and chance it could be a set up thing?

I am using IE 6.0.2.

It works great just using pro.

I have run in to this on more thne one file.

O' yeah I also tried this on other machines, and I have the same problem.

Any help trouble shooting this would be great.

Thanks!!!

Globals that work in FileMaker Client will often not work in IWP because they are missing a proper relationship from the layout's TO to their TO.

Make sure all the fields and graphics on the layout are properly related to the layout's TO. Especially global graphics within the portal.

This is what I have figured out.

If I make another table in the same file, and use that data it works.

But if I have it reference a different file. It does not work.

Is this just how it is? Or is my set up incorrect?

It works on Pro, but not IWP..

I am having the exact same problem and tried all the same things you have by the sound of it.

If anyone out there has a solution to this would be most appreciated.

I have also tried FileMaker 8 Advanced but same result. Any related table in the SAME File is fine, but related Tables in OTHER files will not show. Just get a "field missing or blank portal.

I have set up the same accounts in all files, with the same Account Privelage name, each privelage set the same and with Web enabled sharing. The relationships are based on multiple fields in both files, but I cannot see that making a difference

Sorry for the long delay replying, I've been out of town.

IWP has issues with multiple file databases, I'm not sure what all the issues are or how to solve them. For expediency, I put everything in one file & never solved the issues.
