pjdodd Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 (edited) I'm having a little problem with some gifs and jpegs in containers...on screen they look fine and dandy but the little buggers wont print I've tried printing from Browse mode, Preview Mode, made sure they are set to print from the Sliding/Printing menu, tried printing to different lasers and creating a postscript file....in short I am out of ideas. (The container field uses a calculation to determine its contents ie if x=1 then green square, x=2 then red triangle.) Any suggestions? Edited September 20, 2005 by Guest
aaa Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Must not be problem. Can you attach your file? I often have print container field with images.
Osman Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 May be your pictures are not RGB. I advise you to try reexport images as RGB by any picture editor.
pjdodd Posted September 20, 2005 Author Posted September 20, 2005 Thanks so far... I cant upload a sample database because my Boss wont allow it...and its about 3MB without records. And yes my pics are RGB as saved from ImageReady.
dkemme Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 To test if related to your calculation you could copy and then paste onto the layout and try to print.
pjdodd Posted September 21, 2005 Author Posted September 21, 2005 Well here is the calucation.... If (record_lock = 0; admin::symbols[9] ; admin::symbols[10] ) (admin::symbols is a repeating container field that holds the graphics) All other container fields that rely on lookups or user input print fine.
dkemme Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 I wonder if changing the storage options would help at all?
pjdodd Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 Tried changing the storage options and it didn't help. One curious feature of my problem....if i make the size of the containers BIG and ask FM to stretch the graphics they print ok...
