denisg Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 hello, I have a repeating field that is 20 lines. I display 10 lines on my layout and have a scroll bar to scroll down to the rest of the lines. My problem is when I print, I only get what is displayed on the screen...the bottom part does not print out. Can someone help me?...thanks, Denis ...
mr_vodka Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 If you are using repeating fields, instead of related records to show and print data, you must create a duplicate layout showing records 11-20 of the repeating field. The original layout can show repetitions 1-10. This can be changed under the 'field format' option.
denisg Posted September 29, 2005 Author Posted September 29, 2005 Hello John, Thanks for the reply. But I need help as I made a mistake. My field is not a repeating field, instead, it's a text field formatted with vertical scroll bar using Format fields. I have a header and footer at bottom. And in the body section, I have a few fields in addition to this one big field that is currently displaying 10 lines. As the user enters more date, the scroll bar becomes active and they scroll down to bottom and continue adding data. So, with some records, the print out might be simple 1-10 lines(which fit within 8 x 11 paper), and for other records it may grow to 11+ and need to have this print out. In summary, when I print all records, some with be one pager and others 2+ pending how big that field has grown...thanks a million...Denis
mr_vodka Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 If you are trying to print a large text field, it will cut off whatever that doesnt fit on the layout. However, if you have a new layout specifically for printing, you might want to try a merge field for the large text body. The headers and footers should print the same on page 2.
