I've been used to MS Access and I'm switching to FileMaker 7. In Access, graphics are supplied to add to buttons. There doesn't seem to be any in Filemaker... or am I'm missing something?

you can use your own images and attach script to them. With FileMaker, you can have images, field, shapes, objects, etc along with the generic button object to act as a 'button' to trigger a script.

Hi,

Yes, I understand that. I wondered why Filemaker does not seem to come with any button graphics for me to use.

Is there a site that I can download some from?

You can look here.

http://www.fmwebschool.com/buttons.html

http://www.iconexperience.com/collections.php

http://www.netdenizen.com/buttonmill/glassy.php

You can find lots of other places that have buttons and images with a simple google search as well.

Thanks :-)

The button tool supplied in FileMaker isn't too bad (layout mode). You can also make your own buttons in PhotoShop, save them as png files and Insert them as pictures.

BTW, PS has some ready made buttons in it's graphics.

Thanks Lee, but it seems like a lot of effort for something I feel should be supplied with the package.

You can copy and paste from the template files supplied with the package.

Also, Ugo and a couple of others have contributed some sample files to the Sample Topic Area.

Do a search for Aqua, Agua, Brush, and metal in that topic area should locate the files.

Also, don't forget the file offered up by David Kachel

in this post.
