Hello all, Happy NEW YEAR - It is 11:00PM, new year in an hour, don't you just love FM. ha haa

I have a question: I have a layout with a set of tabs (10 tab panls) I have another layout with the same setup (print layout) with the same tabs without the buttons and other "not printing" stuff. Is there a way to have the print button go to the print layout and specify what tab panel to print?

Put unique fields on each of the tab panels...don't use repeating fields if you're working with v8.02 as I just discovered a bug. Then use a script to go to the printing layouts and a Go To Field(uniquefield) to switch to the correct tab panel. Print and then go back to the view layout, and do another GoTo Field(uniquefield) to return to the last tab panel. You can use the same fields on both sets of layouts. Just make sure that the unique fields only appear on 1 tab panel. You can set the fields to be 1 pixel wide and high with no color. Also set the ones on the view panels to be non-editable.

Actually global repeats still work just fine for this purpose in 8.02. How are you specifiying the repeat to go to? What does your script look like?

Thank you for the above, this all works fine but my situation is a bit more complex. I want it to read what TAB is selected on the "Print button" layout and got to the "Print" layout and select that tab and print. I got this working "go to print layout - go to xx field" but how to tell it to go to the field selected in the prev. layout?

I think that you have to made as many printing layout as your number of TABs ... then go to them with the "print" button; for example, if you have 3 TABs, you have to make 3 layout, inside wich there must be a TAB panel with the default TAB setted (every layout must have different default TAB setted).

Your Eng. if fine, mine is bad. I live in bosnia and herzegovina...

Anyway, re. your post: I can do that but What about the print mutton - if I have 3 layouts for print as you suggested - and if I point to it with the button on the main data entry payout I would need 3 print buttons!?!? Or am I lost?
