Hi have typed

fmp7://IPnumber/filename.fp7 into safari and get a message saying OSX doesnt recongnise internat address starting with FM7.

this is on my laptop and works fine on my desktop computer and both have same setups.

i tried clicking a hyperlink in mail with that URL and it tried to open filemaker 6. when I deleted it says cant find associated application.

Any ideas?

Yup. You must have just installed the 8.0v2 updater. The v2 updater has killed the internet protocol on all of my Windows machines. Both FM Pro and FM Pro Advanced on Windows XP Professional and Windows Server 2003.

I can't help you at all with OSX but if you're on Windows I can tell you which registry keys you need to recreate.
