Incorporating part of FM into our website?

Featured Replies

So I have a contact form on a website and a registration page (name, number etc etc).

At the moment they done as PHP Scripts (I Think, I'm not a web geek).

But I'm thinking "Hey why not have a filemaker layout instead, that way the data would go straight into Filemaker rather than an email"

So my next question is "OMG how?" lol

Where should I start? Is there anything I can read?

Start with the online help system under "Publishing databases on the web".

There is also a specific forum in fmforums dealing with web publishing of FM files.

Ok my bad, let me try again...

What I mean is I have FileMaker Server 7 Advanced (soon to upgrade in august).

And have a website hosted externally.

How would I incorporate a hosted CWP into our existing site?

What I want is to be able to have the contact form form part of a existing web page in order to make it look like the rest of the website.

Thats where I can't find any documentation.

I looked through a filemaker web publishing document but maybe I'm looking at the wrong one.

This is on our agenda as well.

My gut is to deploy frames.

ok as in html frames?

so you tell the http/html frame to display the filemaker data from CWP?

If so anywhere I could read up on this?

The FM manual seems to skimp through it.
