July 12, 200619 yr Hi I have a field called membership which contains unique numbers. I would like to perform a range of specific finds in one go based on that field. I would like to pick and choose a range of membership records at will based on this unique membership number. I can do a range 202...210 for example, but I want to find say membership number 202,205,511 etc etc. I hope this makes sense. TIA
July 12, 200619 yr You can instigate more than one find request to complete your find. Your find criteria are =202 (request 1) =205 (request 2) etc..
July 12, 200619 yr How to perform a find in FileMaker is a basic skill. It is one of those functions that you will build on as you learn more about FileMaker and start developing your Databases. As such, a good basic understanding on how to perform the different finds for the different data types, and what operators will find what you are looking for, is essential to your success. Fortunately, Filemaker has provide this information in both the User Guide, and the Online Help (available when FileMaker is open). HTH Lee
July 15, 200619 yr Author Thank you for your quick replys. It is appreciated! Lee Smith - For the record (no pun intended) I do look through the help files and I do try and work it out myself, but being a newbie to filemaker I find it hard sometimes to do the simple things. Learning needs to be encouraged and thats why I look for answers on here too, before I even post a question on here. Since being a member here I have only posted two questions. The rest of the information that I have sought has been answered by you kind folk on here already. I know how to do a find. What I require is a script that pops up after hitting a button which then allows you to perform a search as detailed in my original question. The scipt making I can do. Its the search bit thats a bit grey! Thanks again
