Hello,

I head the technology department at a small financial management firm. We integrate a calendar, appointment log, and contact list in FMP to maintain all our records. There is an issue: when one workstation is on a day-view on the calendar page, other workstations will not be able to access that same calendar page. Also, the function that dictates calculating our clients' birthdays seems to be correct, but my FMP's master clock doesn't seem to change and the function is based off the FMP clock.

I would like to hire a FMP expert to come to our office in San Luis Obispo, CA to help us solve these issues. Please indicate a price quote and other information like years of experience in developing.

Best,

Ivan

Issue 1 I believe can be removed if you have a script step that goes to a random record as people come into the system. It sounds like everyone is trying to end up on the same record at the same time.

Issue 2, FMP's "Master Clock" and the current date not being updated can be solved by making that date an unstored calulation so that it will update automatically. Note that FileMaker calls from the system clock. I am not sure on a server whether it calls the server time or calls the work station time. In either case the Master Clock is not indiginous to FileMaker Pro itself.
