Andreas T. Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I am having difficulty getting a response from Productive Computing regarding a feature question I have before committing to the Outlook Manipulator plugin for our network. A question I sent them about Entourage Manipulator last year also went unanswered. I would like to know what (if any) experience people have with this company and if one could expect to receive better support after making a purchase. Also, if there is a good alternative out there I would like to know about it. The feature I am most interested in is email sync from Outlook to FM.
bcooney Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I am very surprised to hear that you've had problems with Prod Computing. I used their outlook manipulator plug-in for a system last year and their support went above and beyond the call of duty. I recall that they were moving offices, perhaps that explains a bit why they were unresponsive?
Wim Decorte Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I second that. PC support has been outstanding every time I needed it. Give it another shot.
Andreas T. Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 Ok, thanks. I will wait a few more days to see if I get a response.
Andreas T. Posted March 2, 2007 Author Posted March 2, 2007 I prefer not to call as I don't speak English natively. They should respond to emails, which they so far has not after 3 attempts.
Andreas T. Posted March 9, 2007 Author Posted March 9, 2007 Just an update to let people know that I have not received any respnse to my inquiries and that I have now given up on the company and will not choose their product for worry of not getting help if I need it.
RodSierra Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 This is not a plugin, but I've used it for years to archive from Entourage, it works well, and have gotten good support. Also comes with filemaker template. http://www.softhing.com/eeax/info.html
Andreas T. Posted March 13, 2007 Author Posted March 13, 2007 Thanks for the tip, however I don't really see that it applies to Outlook for Windows. Handy for Mac users though. (Which I am btw, but this client is not)
