hi - i'm having trouble with some really easy tasks in filemaker pro.

basically just copying an already existing layout, adding new fields, and all.

even though i've read the manual and got some books i can't figure it out.

it is simply not my world...

is there anyone out there able to help me?

means to meet up with me so i can explain my problem and then work on the layout together. it is a very easy one, so it'll probably only take a couple hours.

how much would it be?

thanks!!!

p.s. i have a laptop so we could meet anywhere, in a cafe, whatever's best for you.

Please please please ugrade to a newer version of FileMaker Pro, at least FMP 7.

FMP 3 is just sooo old that it's not worth learning about.

I am in Barrie and I do still maintain a copy of FMP3.

I don't know how much time you want to invest in FMP3, but it can still act as a basic training ground to newer versions and if you are running the SDK version, it is the only version of FMP that will make networking runtimes.

Note that though it is old of tooth, it is a full 32 bit applicaiton and stable for the platforms it was designed for and quite a few later. The bigest issue seemed to be printer drivers. I know one company here stil running t on Win XP - not sure which service pack.

You can contact me by email or phone and we can work something out.
