I am very new to the idea of web publishing. I am asking if there is anyone who has a site I can see that is published from filemaker.

I don't really have a feel for its capability

Can filemaker accomodate a large database and many users?

Large databases and a lot of users should not be a problem. We publish a ~1GB solution by XML/XSLT CWP and have about 350'000-400'000 requests per week to our websites. About 25% of these requests are pure FileMaker requests using either XSLT or XML queries.

The Canadian Forest Service Bookstore provides its entire publication catalogue online via filemaker and fx.php.
