Newbies srclgic Posted July 20, 2007 Newbies Share Posted July 20, 2007 I am developing an online business using FilemakerPro as the platform for a database I plan to offer to selected clients. I'll be contracting the development work out to a qualified developer but I want to make sure the quotes I receive are fair and reasonable. Please advise if you have suggestions on how I might best accomplish this, or the best route to take in the development process. Thx.
Genx
Welcome to FM Forums Well it's fairly easy. Prepare a document outlining in detail the requirements of the database, then once you've done that ask yourself the question - what is this worth to me. Then, give this to a few different developers and request quotes as well as estimated deadlines. Edited July 20, 2007 by Guest
Newbies srclgic Posted July 20, 2007 Author Newbies Share Posted July 20, 2007 Appreciate your perspectives. I've done that with one developer but am interested in gaining an understanding of the rates that developers charge to ensure I'm not being overcharged.
