Juniper Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Can anyone test this to see Thanks in advance http://121.221.3.87/fmi/iwp
Genx Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Nope, still not serving... why'd you start a whole new thing topic for this? Did you forward port 591?
Juniper Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 (edited) I went into my router settings and set UDP from 591 to 591 and another TCP 591 to 591. Now when I go to sharing is shows http://10.0.0.1:591 so I thought It would work. I made a mistake in starting a new topic., what I meant to do was to put the question in the OS X forum as I thought it might be a MAC problem. I might have to put my PC XP on the to see if It serves. Edited August 10, 2007 by Guest
Genx Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 (edited) Okay, that sounds right.. are you sure you forwarded them to the right ip though -- is 10.0.0.1 the ip of the pc your fm pro is running on and did you forward those ports to this ip? Most importantly, are you SURE that's still your ip? Go to www.whatismyip.com and confirm. Edited August 10, 2007 by Guest
Juniper Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 To be honest I don't really know what I am doing . I I will get a screenshot of what I altered, and post this
Juniper Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 (edited) Hey I went into setting and I had not Hosted FileMaker , so it might work now. Yes checked 121.221.3.87 Edited August 10, 2007 by Guest
Juniper Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 Thank you very much for all your help. I can now go to sleep. I works wooow. I still don't know if I need TCP or UDP , that is why I have set both.
Genx Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 (edited) I believe you need TCP though I can't be sure. TCP ensures that every packet is delivered successfully -- UDP is sort of like a rush of packets where nothing is checked (but it goes twice as fast). btw, you have to chuck :591 at the end of the address when putting it in a browser to make it work remember. Juniper Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 (edited) Cool. AudioFreak has created a record. I am very impressed with this as data just appears in my database and am editing it without a browser myself Edited August 10, 2007 by Guest
