FM PHP with external web server

Featured Replies

Ok we have a small business I have just finished(mostly) creating a FM database solution for us now I want to link our inventory tables with our website and create a nice dynamic web catalog so new products can get to market quicker. Right now our web hosting is done by Yahoo! and we have no desire nor $ to invest in an in house web server. What is the best way to get our FM data to the web and managed by a PHP front end? Any good PHP tools to help get this up and running quicker would be appreciated as well.

If you are going down the PHP route then you must use FileMaker SERVER to host your files.

There are quite a few FM and Web hosting companies around, some are featured on fmforums.

Also consider FMStudio to get the PHP side going quickly, although FMServer comes with some basic tools to publish PHP quickly.

Consider joining FileMaker Technet (at filemaker.com) as then you can get a developer licence for FMServer.
