aldipalo Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 I have created a row of buttons listing A-Z and 0-9 to place in either a City, State or Zip Code field. I have placed A,B,C....... as the script parameter. I've been playing with this all day and have not been able to come up with the right script so I went to 3 scripts and 2 rows of A-Z and 1 row of 0-9. (See Layout JPG.) This looks rather sloppy and I believe amateurish. I feel pretty certain that there needs to be some combination of get( Activefieldname) and variables and get( scriptparameter) But try as I may I have had no success. I also tried setting up a global field "G_ActiveField" and couldn't get that to work either. Any suggestions, guidance will be greatly appreciated. Al
LaRetta Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Properly constructed, if User enters the zip code, it can pre-fill the city, state. And if just for finds, conditional value list popups would work as well also. Just some additional thoughts on the subject ...
comment Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 If the target field is not specified, Set Field[] will operate on the active field (if there is one).
aldipalo Posted January 9, 2008 Author Posted January 9, 2008 Thanks Comment, that worked. LaRetta: Properly constructed, if User enters the zip code, it can pre-fill the city, state. And if just for finds, conditional value list popups would work as well also. Just some additional thoughts on the subject ... I agree with that and have that in my app, thanks to you and Comment, back in October. We're Recruiters and consequently, use all kinds of data to hone in on a possible candidate or source so having the ability to see what zip codes are in what surrounding areas or within a specific City can be a possible help. But, I thank you for your suggestions. Al
