Searching for "FTP"

Featured Replies

I'm looking for either a plugin or perhaps an existing FM application that will automatically download new or updated files from an FTP site to a local server periodically.

Problem is I can't search for FTP as its a 3 letter word, and the search function will not search for less than 4 letters. I've tried "FTP site" and +ftp + site etc but no avail. It finds "site" but never finds "ftp".

I know about FTPeek and FTPit..(found them through Google !) my real question is just how to go about searching for something like FTP or similar short words.

And if there are any such applications out there I'd like to know too!

Try SmartPill PHP

Can anyone tell me how to search for three letter words such as "FTP" ?

djlane,

As Ocean West suggested, check out SmartPill - it's a great plug-in for using PHP code in your solution. Then head over to Brian Dunning's web site ( http://www.briandunning.com/filemaker-custom-functions/list.php ) - he maintains a library of Custom Functions. You'll find ones for FTP uploading/downloading, renaming, etc. that I've uploaded. I have more that I've never uploaded but I can send them to you if you're interested.

Thanks Stephen. Never even noticed that google search bar at the side. Several times I wanted to search for things like LAN, FTP, PHP etc and couldn't do it.
