I have a FMPro 8.5 hosted database that works perfectly and shows up on every browser, however, when I access it on my IPAC PDA running Windows Mobile 5 and IE, I get the web page but there are no links for the database. It is just a blank Instant Web Publishing webpage. All other webpages appear normal (ie CNN, Yahoo, etc.) Any suggestions.

I havent tried IWP via a mobile browser so I cant be sure, but sometimes its a rendering issue. If you create a CWP site you should be able to see it, but perhaps whatever FMS does to create the IWP html code, it does not compesate for the mobile browser. Most times development for mobile browsers can be a little tricky; especialyl ones that usse heavy CSS & Javascript.

That's an interesting idea and I bet you're right. I've installed two other mobile browsers, Opera (It shows up, but the DB isn't rendered very well- no status area) And Iris, which does a better job, but still not perfect. What is really annoying is that FM discontinued supporting FM Mobile, which would have been fine, in favor of IWP, so you would think this would have been tested. However, all I can find in the knowledge base of FM is the FM Mobile discontinuation notice. This may be solved using FM 9 and Server 9 advanced, but in our 40,000 employee corp, they have not yet authorized the upgrade. And on a side note, I'm actually using Windows mobile 6, which isn't compatible with FM mobile 8, so even if I wanted to, that solution is now out.

Well you could try to get a copy of FM 8 Server Advanced or upgrade to just FileMaker Server 9. (CWP switched from Server Advanced to Server in FMS 9) You can use CWP to generate more compatible pages for mobile browsers.
