nopposan Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Hi, all. I've successfully imported a lot of data from an Excel file into a database table. The only trouble now, and it is rather small, is that I have some fields that contain many separate terms that are separated by commas. These terms are all related closely and therefore they do belong in this field. The trouble is that when new terms are entered via the check boxes on my entry form, they're going to be separated by hard returns. This often looks better, although it takes up more space. How do I replace my commas with hard returns using "find & replace" or with a script? Alternatively, how do I change the configuration of my data entry checkboxes/fields so that when a user checks on a box, it inputs a comma and a space rather than a hard return to separate entries? 'Hope my questions are clear. Thank you.
mr_vodka Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 (edited) Try a replace field contents of: Substitute ( YourField; "," ; ¶ ). Also you can not change the delineator of the checkbox to be a comma instead of a pilcrow. Edited April 14, 2008 by Guest
