merging field problem

Featured Replies

This is so weird! I have a database that has about 3000 names. Every time I have a layout with a merging "first name" field, all the names turn out to be fine except one "Elizabeth" is always in a smaller font than the rest. I tried erasing and retyping the name but did not work. Any ideas? Thanks!

Check the Font in the First Name Field, probably some one Pasted it in.

I did check the font several times before. Actually, it is corrected now! All that I did was change to a different font and then change it back and it worked. Thanks for your help. Samuel

If it is only one field of this record, and only one record, then just Select everything in that Field and change the Font Attributes. However, experience tells me, that you will have other differences like this that will need to be changed too.

In earlier versions, you would have to use Replace by a Calculation to revert the data in a field on a found set. There are plenty of past post on this subject topic if you are interested. However, since you are using 8.5, it is a simple matter to do this by using the [color:blue]TextFormatRemove ( text ), either in script (Looping through a found set), or the Replace under the Menu.
