Nightmare Delete

Featured Replies

Ok on my database I made 10 records. I added a button for deleting the current record only. If I delete record 10 then 9 and then 8, it deletes ALL the records! If I right click and delete doing the same process, the same thing happens. Any advice on how to make it only delete one at a time??

It sounds like you have Delete "Found Set", and not "Current Record" in you script.

Huh? Tell me what command or script your button runs.

Are you Stalking me around.

or, are you a little slow on the draw today?

Oh how I wish it was that simple. No script, just a simple delete record request as well as while in the record to be deleted, right click delete record, when performed 3 times, all records are then deleted...

Not scripted, but I will try a script to do it and see.

What do you figure these things do?

I think what we have here is a failure to communicate.

There is only a couple of ways to delete either the current record, or a group of records.

In the Menu (Main Menu >> Records >>, you have two choices. Delete Record, and the Delete All Records.

If you create a button, you can select from the Left side of the Button Setup Edit Menu, either [color:blue]Delete Record / Request , or [color:blue]Delete All Records. Or, you can [color:blue]Perform Script, and then choose a script that contains one of these Script Steps.
