Could you please elaborate on what you are trying to do and why? Why dont you just use a file server itself? What is the purpose of FileMaker in this?

But if you have FileMaker Server, you can have a web interface; and if you have FileMaker Server Advanced, you can have an Instant Web Publishing web interface.
