mleiser Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I have a number of layouts that you reach via buttons that run scripts to choose records, sort, etc. and then goes to layout. On the layout in browse mode I give the user two buttons (unprintable), one to Print and the other to go back to the menu where they came. I have a report that uses 2 subsummaries and one body line. In browse the report is meaningless. It has to be seen in Preview mode. However, I don't know how to give the user the ability via 2 buttons to either print the report or return to the menu. Is there any way to do this in a preview?
IdealData Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Buttons are not available in preview mode. Have you thought about putting a script on the scripts menu?
Inky Phil Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 You will find a demonstration file here http://www.nightwing.com.au/FileMaker/demos7/demo704.html that demonstrates how you can get buttons that work in preview mode HTH Phil
LaRetta Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 If you could upgrade to vs. 10, sub-summaries are available in Browse mode.
