How do you make 20 layouts with perfect navigation positioning???

I've seen database solutions with perfect placement of navigation and subnavigation across tons of layouts. There must be some automation tool out there that allows you to build these because doing it by hand is so time consuming. You need to move the navbar a bit or swap two buttons, and you're into it for another couple of hours doing basically nothing.

So, what am I missing? I have tried searching for layout automation, auto layout pasting, layout navigation and I'm coming up with nothing.

What's the secret here?

Thanks much!

James

In layout mode, go to the view menu and turn on the Object Info Pallette. Using Pixels will give you the most precision.

Try make a 'master' layout that features all the buttons and nav bars in the correct place then copy/paste to the working layouts.

I often have a dummy object located top-left which I include in the copy. When I paste I just drag the new stuff as far top-left as they can go.

Why wouldn't you just duplicate the layout from a Master layout, then rename each layout with your new name for that layout? Wouldn't that be the easiest way??
