I think this is relatively simple. The ability of enabling or disabling a field should have been there for at least 9 versions. Same thing for hiding or unhiding a field. I really don't get the point of why these feature are missing.

These simple features would just ease the work when developing a project in which user's rights are important.

Well we just got conditional formatting in FM9... and even that is half implemented... It just takes FMI a while to implement wishes. :

Like you said... only half implemented. It's better than nothing.

I would like to add to my request : The other half of conditional formatting (borders, patterns, ...)

You can disable field entry conditionally using script triggers.

Do what? Removing borders and modifying the filling patterns?

it would be nice that a field will become visible when a certian condition is met, other wise the field must be invisible, sio you can stack a few one on top of each other so saving place on a layout
