New versions compatible with Windows 7?

I imagine they won't officially support it until FileMaker 11, bit of a guess though.

I've had a few problems running 9.0v3 on Windows 7, with some random crashes, not tried version 10 yet, so hopefully 10 works better or they'll release 10.0v4 with some fixes if needed

Besure you are patched current (v9.03). FileMaker has been good about supporting the two most recent versions. When Leopard was released, the patch seem to be released like the next day. Anyway, I would expect FileMaker to patch if there are problems.

After not finding this info anywhere, I finally wrote directly to FileMaker. Answer: "We are currently testing FileMaker Pro for compatibility [with] Windows 7. When an official statement has been made, it will be posted directly on our website."

Thanks for the info about the patch, Lee.

I've just answered a similar question on:

The Water Cooler » FileMaker Product Family » FileMaker Pro 10 » Windows 7

I'm getting random crashes with Windows 7 and FM10 Advanced on a Dell XPS laptop. Not my main computer, fortunately!

I'm going to test a few other PCs, and I'll let you know what I find...

I have the same problem. FMP9 now on Win7, can't see any FMS9 databases.

Yesterday, I went and right-clicked the FMP icon & set properties to "run under xxx" compatibility mode; but neither XP or Vista mode made any difference.
