I have just started to use IWP, but people visiting get all sorts of warnings from their browsers.

How do I get around this issue as it's frightening people off from using the site?

You need to take control with scripting and buttons. If you allow users to access the status panel on the left then they are also exposed to these "raw" messages.

Make sure you read the IWP documentation installed with FMP.

Configure browser push notifications
