EllenG Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I have a client who is not able to open my FMP 10 runtime application on a Win 2000 PC. The message indicates that uxtheme.dll is missing. Does anyone know what that is and how to fix it? Thanks.
Lee Smith Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 It sounds like you gave the client a version made on the Macintoh?
IdealData Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Win 2000 is not supported for FM10, the earliest OS is Win XP PRO SP3. Latest specs are here: http://www.filemaker.co.uk/products/fmp/tech_specs.html I doubt you bound the solution for Mac as it simply wouldn't execute. Your client has no option but to upgrade. Since XP is now almost dead they must go with Vista or Win 7 - which might be a quantum leap for both user and hardware.
EllenG Posted December 30, 2009 Author Posted December 30, 2009 The solution was bound on XP. Fortunately, I found out she has another computer that is XP, so we are transferring her application to that one. I know Win 2k is old, but I may have some other clients still on 2k and hoped there may be a solution to this problem. If this comes up again, guess they will just have to stay on my old FM6 version until they buy a new PC. Thanks.
