The Big Bear Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Hi all In Autocad a flag can be attach to an item and when the flag is double click then an excel spreadsheet opens and the item information is displayed. Does anyone know if FM a database be attached to Autocad the same way that the excel spreadsheet is. If so, does any one know how to do it? Thanks for the information Lionel
The Big Bear Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 Hi all The company I work for is required to do 100% tracablilty on all material used. We generate a autocad drawing and thought that if there was away to attached an FM database to Autocad, we could handle all the requirement electroincally. If someone has done this or know of someone that has I would be interest in talking with that person or persons. Thanks Lionel
Muralidharan Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Hi Lionel, I need to integrate the auto cad tools into my file maker application. Can you please tell me the way to do this. Is there any plug ins available for integrate auto cad with file maker. Thanks in advance... 1
Aussie John Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 you should be able to use ODBC - I would be interested to see the result
IdealData Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 If you can get Autodesk to "spill the beans" on the ODBC linkage then that would be a monumental leap forward.
