WPE keeps breaking on PHP pages

We are using FMPro 10 and calling the databases using php (v5.3) but we are not using FMPros API.

We keep finding that the WPE is breaking down with error mesages as follows:

1. FMServer ERROR wpe1 FileMaker Server 10.0.2.206 on filemaker.acwa.asn.au ...

FileMaker Server 10.0.2.206 on filemaker.acwa.asn.au reported the following event:

Sat Feb 13 20:21:34 EST 2010 FMS ERROR wpe1

Some problems were detected in the WPE COMPONENT: COMPONENT IS NOT RESPONDING.

FileMaker Server 10.0.2.206 on filemaker.acwa.asn.au reported the following event:

Some problems were detected in the WPE COMPONENT: POTENTIAL PROBLEM.

We cannot understand why this is happening as it never did with FMPro 9.
