Leather Knight Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Ok I developed my app, a basic one, and developed it with the runtime. Then I open it up in general mode but am not able to create new records or delete them. Then I run it in admin mode and the same thing. I made a video showing you what I did and how I did it, short and sweet. http://www.marvelillusions.com/media/filemakeradv1/filemakeradv1.html if you have any ideas...
bruceR Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 For one thing, you never actually demonstrate creating a new record in the standard FileMaker file when logged in as admin. You begin clicking on the button and show that it highlights; but then you pull away and you do not create a record. The status area continues to show zero records.
Zcast Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Thats the problem Bruce, he IS hitting the new record button, but it's not creating a new record...lol
Leather Knight Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 Exactly, if I could create a new record, there would be no post..lol.. But it doesn't create a new record in the compiled version, it just locks the user out. I never had this problem before.
bruceR Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) Read more carefully please; and observe more carefully. Your file doesn't create a new record - EVER. Compiled or not. At least that is what you explicitly demonstrate in your video. Edited March 1, 2010 by Guest
