Hi

I have set up my database to be accessed by web publishing from outside my office. I am just using filemaker pro 10 advanced not server. It works great. However I would also like to access it with my full version of filemaker from my laptop when in my other office. Is this possible and can anyone suggest what the path would be if the file is in the documents folder of a mac running snow leopard.

many thanks

John

The file is being hosted on your office machine, correct?

On your laptop, in FileMaker, use the Open Remote command and add the host machine's IP to your Favorite Hosts. The host machine will then be listed in the host list, and you should see your file when you click on the host in the list.

If you click on the listed host and don't see any files, you can enter the path manually as:

fmnet://

What you should NOT do is open the file use OS file sharing, which is what your question about the "path" sounded like.
